Abstract
This study selected cleansing oil in basic facial wash products to solve adolescents' skin problems. The focus of this study was sebum control that is the biggest trouble in adolescent skin. Cleansing oil by blending natural grape seed carrier oil with lavender, tea tree, and chamomile essential oil was applied to observe skin changes. The subjects and period of study were 30 middle school girls of 14¡16 years old with facial acne and five weeks. Skin was measured before the experiment and 3 and 5 weeks after the experiment. Changes in porphyrin, sebum, a pore, and a skin tone were analyzed. Frist, T-zone(p>.05) and U-zone(p>.05) did not show a significant difference between before and 3 weeks after the experiment(p>.05 and p>.05, respectively) but were decreased 5 weeks after the experiment(p<.05 and p<.05, respectively). Third, While T-zone(p<.05) showed a significant difference between before and 3 weeks after the experiment, both T-zone(p<.05) and U-zone(p<.05) showed a significant difference between before and 5 weeks after the experiment. Based on the results, it was effective to use cleansing oil which blent natural grape seed carrier oil with lavender, tea tree, and chamomile essential oil for daily facial wash. It appropriately removed sebum, a lipid component, decreased porphyrin which is created by P. acne metabolite, and contracted a pore.
